DMC Mouliné Satin splijtgaren heeft een zeer sterke glans en een zijdezachte textuur, wat elk borduurwerk een schitterende sprankeling geeft. Splijtgaren is een bijzonder veelzijdig borduurgaren, omdat de dikte van de borduurdraad naar eigen voorkeur kan worden aangepast. De 6 draden zijn eenvoudig te scheiden; gebruik 1 draadje voor heel fijn en gedetailleerd borduurwerk of voor het omranden van kleurvlakken, 2 of 3 draden voor iets grovere borduursels of 4, 5 of 6 draden voor nog grover borduurwerk. DMC Mouliné Satin is geschikt voor alle soorten borduurwerk en voor elke borduurstof; ideaal voor kruissteek en platsteek. Het splijtgaren is gemaakt van 100% rayon, is kleurecht en is wasbaar tot 60ᵒC. Een streng DMC Mouliné Satin heeft een looplengte van 8 meter en is verkrijgbaar in diverse kleuren.
